Leila joined the TxCDC team in 2017. Originally from west Texas, she found her way to Austin in 2013 after studying psychology and art at UTPB.

Leila coordinates with both closing and servicing departments to gather necessary items for SBA compliance. In closing she ensures approved projects are funded in a timely manner, managing 327 actions, running mandatory reports required by the SBA, reviewing appraisals and environmental reports. In servicing she reviews funding packages to send to the SBA, gathers necessary financial statements and maintains upkeep on insurance renewals and property tax payments by all borrowers in our portfolio.

In her spare time, she enjoys all things artistic between digital illustration, prose, and costuming. She always has a helping hand or paw in projects with her husband, two cats and two rabbits. Occasionally, she can be found outside immersed in nature trails on good days.
