Texas Certified Development Company (TxCDC) has named Ed McGuire as its representative in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. McGuire, a well-respected business executive who has extensive experience in helping small business owners succeed, began his duties with TxCDC on August 18th.
“Ed has extensive experience in franchise development, marketing and management as well as financial services experience with Chemical Financial,” said TxCDC President Suzanna Caballero. “I am looking forward to watching our DFW business increase through his expert marketing and finance skills.”
McGuire brings more than two decades of experience in sales and business development, management and support in the United States and the United Kingdom to his new role with TxCDC. In addition to his work with Chemical Financial (Affiliate of Chemical Bank), McGuire has headed up franchise development for Dynamic Air Freight, MAACO Enterprises, DFW Business Brokers, United Franchise Group and CareMinders Home Care.
McGuire has personally been involved with more than 800 franchises, regional developers/masters and independent businesses. Since 2011, McGuire has sold 15 regional developers totaling 150-200 territories as well as 69 individual franchise locations.
The resident of Frisco, TX has received numerous awards during his career, including Rookie of the Year, Royalty Award Winner and Regional Advertising Award for United Franchise Group. He also was a graduate of that company’s executive training program. McGuire was named Player of the Year three times when he worked at MAACO.
McGuire holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations, business and marketing from Ball State University. He also attended Ball State for graduate school where he focused on political science with a concentration in public policy.
